Bombing in FATA

For the last few years FATA is experiencing bombing and bombing. That is less is done normally and thanks to media who are shattering our nerves with bombing news, Yesterday a bomb Blast occured in Ghalanai, the agency headquarter of Mohmand Agency leaving 43 dead and 70 injured. Every media channel is striving to catch as much "customer" as possible in form of its audience, so no one is trying to dig out the root cause of all these bombings and violance in FATA. The similar FATA has been, atleast its northern part i.e. Mohmand and Bajaur has been the safets places till a few years ago. You could travel anytime 24 hours a day, but now you have to reach the entrance and exit points before the closing time..... and when a place becomes so much contrlooed that you neither can enter nor exit it with your own will, that place does not appeal you more....
All this seems that the blog has taken a U turn and now this blog too will show the blacke side of FATA to the world but ... no
This is not the black side of FATA, this is the black side of this unipolar world, can you take your flight in USA according to your wishes, dont you undergo extensive patdown and body search while you enter an airport in almost 60% of the worlds country,..
Lets have a break in our busy and "SECURE" life and think why this whole world is turning to a place which is simply no more bearable....
Who has caused this? Imperialistic approach of some countries? Backwardness of some people? Injustice system? Orthodox foundamintalism? New ethnic superiority complexes? or what..... but FATA people dont know the exact cause,,,, may be some people exactly know but they may be fearing.... something which they believe might happen to them...... Is there just a simple human being" A SIMPLE HUMAN BEING THAT CAN TAKE THE 1ST STEP IN THE WORLD TO STOP VIOLANCE" not the one who starts the War on terro but that war on terror is promoting Terrorism..... that simple human being is... you.... Just discuss the idea with common people around you and write down your own and your friends ideas to your Parliamantarians, Religious leaders, politicians, journalists, media organizations, governments, and so on...
For us the effective media organization or channel is not that one who "1st break the news of BOMB blasts and terrorism" LEts look for a smaller channel or a bigger channel who is impartial, who is just with human beings and who is attempting to mitigate this all worse happeningsss....
Please dont wait for some one to come and correct all this order.... lets be pioneers in making this world a habbitable place....
Stay blessed

Floods in FATA. Has FATA caused flooding in the country

The recent Monsoon floods in Pukhtoonkhwa actually started in FATA, but the FATA was not highlighted like other parts of the country. This may be due to scattered damages occured in FATA, but there are damages to livelihood in agriculture, livestock and non farm livelihoods, community infrastructure, including schools, roads, health facilities and communication means.and many more.
One thing better for FATA regions which were facing drinking water scarcity, are now replinished with drinking water but due to low recharge to many areas of FATA if the rains of winter dont begin soon, the water table may again fall back.
The FATA could be considered as source of floods in most parts of the Pukhtoonkhwa and other provinces of Pakistan because the hilly areas of FATA dont have some mechanism for storing and slowing down the rain water. Why not construct small rain water dams in FATA to reduce the flooding downstream and improve the water table in FATA.
Some people are planning for dams but those are not sufficient because they are slow, they have less resources and they are facing some strict policies imposed by their donors. why not invest in small water harvesting check dams, and rain water irrigation ponds in FATA.
If a person is not having water even for drinking purpose, leave alone the other basic needs of life, can we expect he/she will care for seucrity and peace of the world. If the world can not provide drinking water solution to some people, is it justified to demand many things from these few people.
Giving water harvesting check dams and small dams to this area can actually reduce the flooding downstream, which can reduce the burden on the humanitarian community worldwide, This can provide irrigation water to FATA farms which will engage the energetic people in food production instead of destructive activities, which can contribute to enhance food security in the region, and can provide better habitate to wildlife and can lead to conservation of environment.
Hey guys ! what are you thinking? If you can not help in solving the problem directly you can help in spreading these ideas. why wait for suitable time? this is the most suitable time for starting, lets start somewhere......

An introduction to Hamza Baba

Hamza Shinwari, a poet, philosopher, Sofi, and a PUKHTOON Opened his eyes in Darra khyber in a Shinwari Family. The modern education could not overshadow the Typical Shinwari in Hamza Baba. His love for humanity and sufism run Paralle to his Pukhtoonwali and no one adversly affect the other. Unmatched creativity and technique of symbolizing the non visuals into visuals in Pushto Poetry is characteristic of Hamza Baba. Like he Says " Da Nazar na de nari Megi Tawegi... Hamza starge de pa cha bande khwage shwe" The small ants are sorrounding your sight ( It feels that the rays of human sight are openly coming through ones eyes) Hamza it seems that you have sweetened your eyes through seeing some one very sweet. This is a very natural phenomenon that the ants sorround all the sweet things when they are not covered, and further ant is a living thing which could be found in any part of the world with similar characteristic of love for sweet things. I think this is the climax of creativity when you visualize the " Some onesweet" is so sweet that when you see him/her, your eyes are so sweetened that the ants start following your sight in hope of getting something sweet.
The father of Ghazal in Pushto is well known in Pushto Speaking community, but to introduce the non pushto speakers of the planet with this legend of Pushto poetry who fortunately belongs to FATA, an initiative is taken by Haroon Shinwari. Haroon shinwari again is an enthusiastic disciple of Hamza Baba and president of Hamza Baba Litrary Society has broken the ice by writing a book on Hamza Baba In english.
The book lets the readers have a closer look at Hamza Baba from the perspective of local Pukhtoons, Sometimes it is felt that the writer is establishing his ethnic superiority but those people who know the tribal people in details will agree that there is no much exageration in the fact, and as a matter of reality all writers in tribal communities in any part of the world are some how " very loyal" to their tribes and subtribes, and that is the sense of attachement and cohesion which keep them motivated to work.
The book " an introduction to Hamza Baba" is a must read one for all those who have any taste of literature and an assett for those who want to know the real face of FATA, as introduction to FATA is incomplete without introduction to Hamza Baba.
The remaining is for Haroon.
Haroon dear ! Hamza Baba is not such a simple personality that could be completly described in just one book. Hamza baba has a lot of diciples all across the Pukhtoonkhwa and every one has unique image of Hamza baba, Why not try to collect writings of various fans of Hamza baba and collect them in a booklet " Colours of colourful Hamza" anyhow very great Job done, and keep it up

Haroon says

Haroon Shinwari is a young poet from tribal area of Khyber Agency. Khyber Agency is known for giving high profile poets to Pushto Like the great Hamza Baba, Khatir Afridi, Khyber ustaz and many more, his recent verse came to me through an SMS he says" Haroona sta da Zra QISA che Aasman Wawredala......Doomra ye wajaral che har khwa sailabuna Raghlal" this is typical hamza style of equating fiction with reality. Haroon says when the sky knew the real situation of my heart, it started weeping till all the round about area was flooded. The fiction of Haroon related to current flood spills in Pakistan. Well done haroon! keep it up ustaza

Tribal Girls Life, compared to other educated Pukhtoon Girls

The Life of tribal girls is not much different from Pukhtoon Girls elsewhere. But compared to Girls and ladies In Khyberpukhtoonkhwa and Afghan cities the tribal and FATA Girls have more difficulties to face if they want to become equally educated because there is a problem with infrastructure of educational institutions. If an institute is available at all there is shortage of teaching staff and facilities. The reason for non availability of teaching staff is the scarcity of local educated girls and ladies from other settled district of khyber Pukhtoonkhwa dont willingly join the female schools and colleges because of bad security situation and accessibility problems.
There still are some areas in FATA where there are sociocultural hurdles for female education.
The health issues of tribal Ladies are also not satisfactory, lady doctors from other areas of Pakistan dont want to perform their duties in FATA. Even Pukhtoon lady doctors, whose culture and language are just similar to FATA women dont easily accept Jobs in FATA. As a result of non availability of qualified doctors, semi qualified and non qualified LHVs, LHWs and quacks provide health care facilities to the women of FATA. Some times this practice endanger the life of Tribal women, specially pregnant women, if there is any serious complication with their pregnancy

Kurram Agency, Women Singing in a wedding

Some Women are singing a folk song in a wedding, She says that she misses her beloved one who is out side the village, to earn a livelihood, her darling is preparing to leave for Karachi, a bigger city of Pakistan, where the tribal people mostly go for periodic Jobs. This woman says that though tomorrow is the Eid day (A day of great pleasure and happiness for muslims all over the world) but she would not be able to celebrate this eid with its true spirit as her beloved one is not with her

Music of FATA,

FATA Being a part of Pushtoon Society shares the taste of Pushto Music. Pushto Music has its own colour, though it has touches of Arabic, Persian and Indian music. There is little difference among various parts of FATA. The south two agencies, i.e North and South Waziristan have a bit different taste of music compared to other parts. Here in these two agencies the liking of a big drum called DOLE or Typically Dell is more liked by the people as it helps the audience gain more rythm and similiarity in their Atan. In other parts i.e. North and central FATA Rabab(a string instrument resembling Guittar but with more strings and better manuers)is a necessary part of musical performances. Harmonium, Drum, Sorna (Shehnai) are other instruments. Basically the pushto music has been a mixture of indian Classical and Arabic music, Now even the folk music is getting colours of rock and other westren music. Actually when the regional music gets mixed with other musics it becomes more attractive. Jenifer lopez mellinium Song is an example, where one can feels even the pushtu music in an english song.
There are both male and female singers for folk. Unfortunately videos of female pushto/Tribal folk singers are not freely available as the society does not allow for making their videos but we are trying to get some audio or videos of the female folk singers of FATA

YouTube - A PAKTHOON SON'S LETTER TO HIS MOTHER

YouTube - A PAKTHOON SON'S LETTER TO HIS MOTHER
People whose culture is different from Pukhtoons think that gender in equality and gender based violance against women is not only common among pukhtoons but this is a part of their culture, but in fact this is not the real situation. A poem is hereby shared from Youtube where the son misses his mother and any one can see the respect in the tone of the son for the mother. We are working on other forms of the gender related issues of FATA and pukhtoon society.
